Adrien Rabiot has officially joined Ligue 1 club Marseille as a free agent. After concluding his stint with Juventus in July, the 29-year-old midfielder has found a new home in a French club that is eager to make its mark this season. Rabiot, who was without a club for a short period, is expected to bring his wealth of experience to the squad.
Before joining Marseille, Rabiot showcased his talents at various high-profile clubs. He made his senior debut for Paris Saint-Germain after a brief spell in Manchester City’s academy. During his time with PSG, he secured 18 trophies, including five Ligue 1 titles, establishing himself as a key player. His next chapter in Turin saw him achieving further success, where he won Serie A in his debut campaign along with two Italian Cups and an Italian Super Cup.
Marseille currently sits second in Ligue 1, having picked up 10 points from their opening four matches. With Rabiot in the lineup, the team looks poised to challenge for the league title under the leadership of new manager Roberto De Zerbi. His addition is seen as a significant boost for the squad, considering he also showcased his talents on the international stage, playing five matches for France in Euro 2024 as they reached the semi-finals.
